Research
Research is a lobby project list. You pay Gold, Ruby, or Emerald, wait out a timer, and keep the result through Rebirth.
What Research is
The Research button is on the lobby from the start. You begin with one project running at a time. Parallel Research opens a second slot. A project spends its cost when you start it. The timer keeps going while the game is closed, and the level applies when the timer ends. Research Acceleration and Efficient Design change later projects: speed shortens the wait, and the cost discount lowers what you pay.
All 15 projects
Where a project has a last level, cost and time rise on a curve from the first level to the last. Unlimited projects use the formulas under the table. Discounts and speed bonuses are applied on top of these base prices.

- Regenerative Constitution: 100 × level1.7 Emerald. The wait is about level1.25 minutes.
Effects that are easy to misread
A potion heals 30% of max HP before any research, and it cannot heal past full. Each Healing Amplification level adds 1% of max HP, so level 50 heals 80% of max HP or whatever room you have left.
Treasure Shatter multiplies damage to chests by 1 + 10% per level. Level 40 is ×5. That is the same as +400% on top of the original hit. It does not change damage to enemies.
Angel's Grace triggers on a killing blow, once in that run. You stay at 1 HP and cannot be hit for 3 seconds. Leaving from the pause menu is not a killing blow, so Grace does not trigger. Finishing a run any other way that is not a lethal hit does not trigger it either.
Ironplate Armor subtracts its level from an incoming hit. The hit still deals at least 1 damage.
Technique Amplification and a skill’s Potential damage add together, then multiply that skill’s hits. Ten Technique levels are +5%. A 40% Potential on the same skill makes the hit ×1.45. Crossbow Turret and Ice Barrier are not part of that skill-damage list. Frost Veil is the separate Ice Barrier shield bonus.
Tactical Prep’s extra opening picks equal the lower of its level and the difficulty’s rank. Normal adds none. Hard can add 1, Hell 2, and Abyss 3, so a maxed Abyss run can open with four skill choices instead of one.
Expedition Thrift reduces the Ruby paid to enter Hard, Hell, or Abyss. The price you see is the base cost after that percent, rounded up.
Ruby Vault Expansion multiplies Ruby Works storage. It does not raise how many Rubies each minute produces.
